 Our vision

Operational life

The operational life of buildings and infrastructure operations forms the basis of Strukton's thinking. For this reason we opt for contractual arrangements that allow for quality, comfort and sustainability. Examples of these contractual arrangements are DBFMO (design, build, finance, maintain and operate) and PPP (public-private partnerships).

Corporate Social Responsibility

Strukton conducts business in a socially responsible way and has a pioneering role in this respect within the sector. On 2 July 2010 Strukton achieved the highest level on ProRail's CO2 performance ladder, becoming the first to achieve this level for the entire concern.

Strukton's CSR policy constantly encourages staff to weigh up consciously what is best for people, for the company and for the environment. The effects of our CSR policy can be seen in:

  • The Strukton construction site standards that are filled in by 10 to 15 people on the construction site. This is a good means of keeping safety on the construction site in focus.

  • Regenerative braking in trains to save energy and to be able to operate without overhead wire.

  • A tunnel design with staggered tunnel openings on the A2 project in Maastricht that maintains the air quality in the city to standard.

  • A new business unit (Strukton Sustainable Energy) that will deal with wind, tidal and wave energy.
