 Vision

Het 'nieuwe bouwen'

Strukton’s ambition is to provide responsible solutions that optimally answer the needs of not just clients and end-users, but also of society in general. That calls for a lifecycle approach and for clients who are willing to embrace this concept worded by Strukton in its vision as ‘Challenging Clients’. Strukton wants to be challenged by clients, and challenge them in turn. All underpinned by mutual trust, which is vital to the type of partnership that can lead to sustainable success.

New construction
Buildings are no longer just buildings, but are instead increasingly becoming an environment in which to work, live or recreate. The well-being and optimal functioning of its occupants are central. All necessary facilities must be in optimal condition. Safety is important, as is sustainability. The latter not only in terms of materials usage, but also as concerns energy consumption and the flexibility to adapt to changing needs. Strukton turned its attention to this ‘new construction’ as early as in 1999, and has since gathered experience both in the Netherlands and abroad with new contract forms. This strategy has helped Strukton to achieve a leading market position.

Active directive role
Thinking from the viewpoint of the lifecycle of buildings – or even whole environments – calls for a different way of looking at costs. Quality in the long term and Total Cost of Ownership must weigh heavier than initial costs. In this process, Strukton wants to be the creative partner that oversees the entire chain and can assume an active (directive) role in all the steps from the conceptual to the operational phase. Clients can benefit from the bundled capabilities offered by Strukton, with cost savings running as high as 10% to 15%.
