Strukton Worksphere and Strukton Bouw & Vastgoed jointly commissioned the Eureka!Cup, a national design competition for students preparing for university (VWO levels 1 to 3). The Delft University of Technology and Eindhoven University of Technology joined forces to organise the Eureka!Cup 2008.

The aim is to familiarise students with exciting technological and scientific applications. The students are invited to tackle a total of seven different assignments. The assignments are all formulated by companies and institutes that play a leading role in the world of water management, including Strukton Bouw & Vastgoed and Strukton Worksphere.

Assignment
While most people in our modern society are doing their utmost to keep their heads above water, project developer Kubosport in Eindhoven is working hard on constructing a luxurious underwater hotel. Within the scope of this challenging project, Strukton Bouw & Vastgoed and Strukton Worksphere are responsible for the construction process and electrical and mechanical systems for the hotel. However, getting floating building materials into the various hotel rooms is proving something of a problem.

The Cup

The major Eureka!Day event concludes the Eureka!Cup. At this event, the teams – cheered on by their classmates – battle it out for the Eureka!Cup. The participants stand a chance of winning a spectacular prize.
