New release of the POSS preventive maintenance and breakdown diagnosis system

13 | 09 | 2006

HENGELO 13 September 2006, Strukton Railinfra engages in continuous product improvement. Points monitoring improvements are implemented every year in close consultation with users of the POSS preventive maintenance and breakdown diagnosis system. Suggestions from users in the past year have now been incorporated into the new POSS points monitoring release 4.

The new release enables plans to be generated for condition-based maintenance processes, in which maintenance activities can be scheduled in line with the maintenance needs of the points. Alarms have also been improved. For instance, incorrect alarms caused by temperature effects in the winter are now automatically compensated even better, and it is also possible to suppress points alarms during maintenance activities.

Alarms in release 4 are forwarded automatically to the e-mail addresses of technicians and maintenance engineers and the customer's maintenance and alarm systems. There have also been improvements in user convenience, and various tabular and graphical overviews are generated, including of the settings of the points and the maintenance history.
