Strukton Railinfra has increased its interest in the Norwegian company Jernbaneservice AS from 65% to 100%. Strukton Railinfra acquired the first 65% in May 2006.
Jernbaneservice is one of the four railway construction and maintenance companies in Norway. The company is seated in Oslo and has an annual turnover of EUR 8 mln. Jernbaneservice is a reputable company in Norway with good returns. The company employs 58 professional staff members.
Strukton Railinfra expects the opportunities in the market to grow for Jernbaneservice in the coming years. The expansion of the interest in the Norwegian company therefore fits in Strukton Railinfra’s strategy.
Strukton Railinfra has the ambition to further improve its market position in the Nordic countries as a full-service provider of rail systems. The company already acquired a majority interest in the Swedish railway company Svensk Banproduktion in 2003. This Swedish company has now grown into the second largest party in the Swedish market.
The cooperation between Svensk Banproduktion and Jernbaneservice will be further intensified and the capacity in Norway will be enlarged.
