UTRECHT, 3 October 2007 – Effective 1 October, Dirk Jan Bax (44) was appointed managing director - northern region at Strukton Bouw & Vastgoed bv.

Mr Bax previously worked for Dura Vermeer, where he served as a member of the board for the Amsterdam establishment. He will be focusing on further expanding the market position held by Strukton Bouw & Vastgoed in the northern region of the Netherlands. Dirk Jan Bax succeeds Eppie Bakker. Although Mr Bakker will be entering early retirement, he will continue to be active heading up the Centrum van Levenswetenschappen (Life Sciences Centre) project at the University of Groningen.

Strukton Bouw & Vastgoed is developing swiftly from a traditional construction company into an innovative player in today’s market, pursuing an integral approach in terms of the construction chain from development and realisation to maintenance and management. The company’s strong focus on the customer and end user enable it to produce value-added solutions for its customers. Amongst other things, Strukton Bouw & Vastgoed plays a leading role in realising the first two building-linked PPP concession projects in the Netherlands: the Montaigne College and the renovation of the Ministry of Finance, both in The Hague. In the DUO2 consortium, Strukton Groep is one of the last of three parties in the running for the realisation of the PPP project for the Information Management Group (Informatie Beheer Groep) and the Tax Authorities in Groningen.
