In cooperation with Stichting Bewonersoverleg Groessen A15, Strukton Civiel has taken the initiative to develop one of the alternative solutions for the extension of the A15 up to the A12 in Gelderland. This solution is known as the Rijnstrangentracé or Rijnstrangen route, and would extend the A15 up to the Oud-Dijk junction, where it would intersect with the A12/A18. The route includes a tunnel under the Pannerdensch canal and the Rijnstrangen area. 

A total of eight different solutions have been devised. The Department of Public Works is currently elaborating five of them based on the Environmental Impact Assessment. These do not include the Rijnstrangen route, despite the widespread support it has received from the population. The municipalities of Duiven and Zevenaar have repeatedly urged the Minister of Transport, Public Works and Water Management to examine this route.

Strukton Civiel and Stichting Bewonersoverleg Groessen A15’s Rijnstrangen route meets the requirements in terms of the quality of the surroundings, air quality, noise levels, external safety and the barrier effect.
