UTRECHT, 3 February 2009 – On 28 January 2009, Strukton Worksphere and the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) signed on the dotted line for scheduled annual maintenance and daily maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems alike. The contract is for a five-year term and represents a value of more than €2 million.
The maintenance contract is for 32 buildings on TU Delft’s premises, ranging from faculty buildings to technical buildings. The total net surface area involved is 255,068 m2.
The maintenance contract also governs heat/coldness storage systems. This involves storing groundwater to heat buildings in winter and cool them down in summer: a sustainable and innovative energy management system only applied in large-scale complexes.
TU Delft selected Strukton Worksphere on the basis of its excellent price/quality ratio following a Europe-wide call for tenders.
Around 130 Strukton Worksphere employees will provide the requisite services working from the Capelle aan den IJssel establishment.
