UTRECHT, 17 March 2008 – Strukton Projectontwikkeling today officially sounded the start for the construction of the Peizerhoven residential housing project on the outskirts of Groningen.

The new development project borders on the western edges of the Stadspark, along the Peizerweg. The official ceremony was conducted by Mr F. de Vries, municipal executive for spatial planning in the municipality of Groningen.

Peizerhoven consists of 50 thatched houses (26 freestanding and 24 semi-detached). This is exceptional project, spanning four courtyards, separated by historical sightlines and waterways that exude an ecological character together with the banks.

Already, more than 80% of the houses have been sold. Expectations are that the first dwellings will be delivered at the start of 2009. The Groningen-based estate agency Meeùs is responsible for the sale of the houses. Strukton Bouw will be taking care of their construction. Strukton Bouw and Strukton Projectontwikkeling form part of Strukton Bouw & Vastgoed.
