Strukton opts for clean and green

UTRECHT, 25 January 2008 - Assuming corporate social responsibility (CSR) forms an integral part of daily practice at Strukton. This is evidenced in two recently signed contracts: a new lease contract under which only private vehicles with energy labels A, B or C are permitted, and a contract for green energy.

The lease contract stipulates that vehicle acquisitions within Strukton are limited to those bearing energy labels A, B or C. Policy in relation to lease vehicles has been adjusted in order to contribute towards reducing CO2 emissions.

On 15 January 2008, Strukton signed a contract with MAIN Energie for 100% green energy for all the electricity consumed by Strukton, both at its headquarters in Utrecht and at all the many regional offices throughout the country. The electricity is generated by hydropower.
