UTRECHT, 9 July 2008 – Catalpa, the biggest childcare organisation in the Netherlands, has outsourced building maintenance at 136 locations to Strukton Bouw & Vastgoed. The contract will be for a duration of three years, with two options for a one-year extension. The scope of the contract encompasses all structural and technical maintenance activities.
By outsourcing building maintenance operations, the childcare facilities can focus more on taking care of the children. For several years now, Strukton has taken care of maintaining a number of Catalpa’s establishments. This contract will require it to considerably expand the scale of its services.
“This long-term agreement will enable Strukton Bouw & Vastgoed to provide more concrete shape to its ambition of supporting national parties in the area of structural and technical maintenance activities, and therefore optimising operating costs for our customers,” says Rob Veerman, deputy director for national contracts at Strukton Bouw & Vastgoed.
