Green power from a solar road surface

Element SolaRoad_Pro

SolaRoad: Linking civil engineering to photovoltaic technology. Sunlight that strikes the road surface is absorbed by the solar cells and converted into electricity. This electricity can be used for roadway lighting and supplied to private households. Further into the future, this technology can even be utilised for charging electric vehicles.

Heat and cold energy storage

Strukton has installed a sustainable energy storage system to heat and cool the Máxima Medisch Centrum (Máxima Medical Centre) in Eindhoven. The system – which stores heat and cold in the ground – generates CO2 reductions of 22% compared with traditional methods.
