Implementation and design

Strukton generally carries out project-based work for third parties. This involves a wide range of works in terms of complexity and scale and order size. In line with the company’s strategy, business units frequently tender for complex projects, incurring both design-related and implementation-related risks. Depending on the contract type, errors in forecasts may result in losses and negative cash flow. In some cases, this may also lead to discussions with the principal about the financial settlement of a project, involving settlement of deviations from the contract, the costs of time delay or the quality of the work. This sometimes leads to claims or a further legal procedure, but these discussions are basically solved to the satisfaction of all parties involved.

Strukton is committed to structural application of procedures, both during the acquisition phase and during the implementation phase to prevent such problems. Third-party reviews are highly valued relating to the design risks. Additionally, Strukton is insured against design errors.
