Settlement rods: before subsidence becomes a problem…

Strukton Survey & Monitoring has techniques that allow the automatic or manual monitoring of settlement rods. If threshold values are exceeded, an alert message is issued, allowing you to take action before any damage occurs.

Time gained

In case of the pre-stress of soil bodies, actual subsidence/consolidation is measured. Based on this information, stability is guaranteed and pre-stress can be removed in time, safeguarding the progress of the project. Safety is guaranteed and no time is lost. Additionally, automatic alerts are issued before threshold values are reached − you only need to take action when it is really necessary. This also saves time.

Safe and cost-effective

The use of a physical measurement technique outside diminishes the risk of accidents at the construction site. Because the system automatically performs measurements and calculations and issues alerts when human intervention is required, you also save on personnel costs.

Measurements are conducted with high levels of accuracy, varying from 1 cm to 1 mm, depending on the measurement system used. Additionally, the monitoring of settlement rods can be combined with other measurement types, such as groundwater level and inclination measurement, enabling a relationship to be created between the various measurements.

Always available

Results are also available at any time: on your tablet, smartphone or PV. This keeps you up-to-date with any movement in the subsoil.
